The Pharmacists Registration Act 2007 made provisions for the accreditation and registration of specialist pharmacists. These include the establishment of the Pharmacy Specialists Accreditation Board (“PSAB”).
Pharmacy Specialists Accreditation Board (PSAB)
The PSAB defines the specialties in the practice of pharmacy and certifies those who have met the requisites of both qualifications and experience for registration as specialists.
Pharmacy Specialists Accreditation Committees (PSACs)
The PSACs are appointed to assist the PSAB on reviewing applications for specialist accreditation, and to provide recommendations on the development of the specialities and the required competencies for specialist pharmacists.
