Pharmacy Specialties in Singapore
Currently, the following specialties are recognised by PSAB:
Cardiology Pharmacy
Critical Care Pharmacy
Geriatric Pharmacy
Infectious Diseases Pharmacy
Paediatric Pharmacy
Psychiatric Pharmacy
Oncology Pharmacy
Specialist Pharmacists’ Titles
Pharmacists who are listed in the “Register of Specialists” can use the title of “Specialist Pharmacist” followed by the name of their specialty, e.g. “Specialist Pharmacist in Oncology”, or use the Specialist Pharmacists’ titles approved by the Pharmacy Specialists Accreditation Board listed below:

Specialist Pharmacists refers to pharmacists who are:
a) registered as a specialist in the branch of pharmacy defined by the PSAB in the Register of Specialists; and
b) issued a specialist certificate in respect of that specialist branch of pharmacy.
Section 32 of the Pharmacist Registration Act (PRA) stipulates that:
(1) A person other than a specialist registered in the “Register of Specialists” who has in force a practising certificate must not take or use:
a) practise pharmacy or that branch of pharmacy under the style or title of a specialist in that branch of pharmacy, or under any name, title, addition or description implying that he or she is such a specialist or has any degree, qualification or experience in that branch of pharmacy; or
b) advertise or hold himself or herself out as a specialist in that branch of pharmacy.
(2) Any person who contravenes Section 32(1) shall be guilty of an offence.
(3) A registered pharmacist who is not registered in the “Register of Specialist” as a specialist in a branch of pharmacy must not:
a) practise pharmacy or that branch of pharmacy under the style or title of a specialist in that branch of pharmacy, or under any name, title, addition or description implying that he or she is such a specialist or has any degree, qualification or experience in that branch of pharmacy; or
b) advertise or hold himself or herself out as a specialist in that branch of pharmacy.
(4) A registered pharmacist who contravenes Section 32(3) may be subject to disciplinary proceedings under this Act.
